Chat Rules & Community Guidelines

1. Purpose of These Rules

ICQChat.org is an 18+ platform intended to provide a moderated chat environment where adults can connect and communicate freely while treating others with respect. These Chat Rules and Community Guidelines exist to protect users, promote positive interaction, and prevent abuse.

By accessing or using the chat services, you agree to follow these rules in addition to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

2. Age Requirement — Adults Only

You must be 18 years of age or older to access or use ICQChat.org. By using this Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

Any user found to be under the age of 18 will be immediately removed. We reserve the right to verify eligibility and restrict or terminate access at any time. Misrepresenting your age to gain access is a violation of these rules and our Terms of Use.

3. Zero Tolerance for Conduct Involving Minors

ICQChat.org has a zero-tolerance policy for any conduct involving minors. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Sexual comments, content, or discussions involving anyone under 18
  • Grooming, enticement, or predatory behavior directed at minors
  • Knowingly interacting with or soliciting minors on the platform
  • Sharing, requesting, or distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
  • Attempting to move conversations with minors off the platform

Users engaging in such behavior will be permanently banned and will be reported to appropriate authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement, as required or permitted by law.

4. Privacy and Personal Information

Users share personal information at their own discretion. We recommend exercising caution when sharing identifying details such as your real name, address, phone number, workplace, or social media accounts with other users.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a minor has accessed the Service, we will take steps to remove their information and terminate their access.

5. Acceptable Behavior

Users are expected to:

  • Be respectful toward others
  • Follow moderator instructions
  • Use appropriate language in general channels
  • Report concerning or unsafe behavior
  • Respect the privacy and boundaries of other users

6. Prohibited Content and Conduct

You may not post, request, or promote:

  • Doxxing, stalking, or intimidation
  • Illegal activity or encouragement of unlawful behavior

  • Malware, hacking attempts, or abuse of the platform

7. Moderation and Monitoring

ICQChat.org uses a combination of human moderation and technical safeguards to help enforce these rules.

While moderators actively respond to reports and visible violations, it is not possible to review every message in real time. Users are encouraged to report inappropriate behavior immediately.

8. Enforcement Actions

Violations of these rules may result in:

  • Warnings
  • Message removal
  • Temporary suspension
  • Permanent bans
  • IP or network-level blocks
  • Referral to appropriate authorities

Enforcement decisions are made at our discretion and may be taken without prior notice.

9. Reporting Violations

Users should report violations using the available reporting tools or by contacting us directly. Reports should include usernames, timestamps, and a description of the behavior when possible.

Reporting unsafe behavior helps keep the community safer for everyone.

10. No Expectation of Absolute Safety

While we take reasonable steps to moderate the platform, no online service can guarantee complete prevention of misconduct. Users should remain aware of online risks and exercise caution when interacting with others online.

11. Changes to These Rules

We may update these Chat Rules at any time. Continued use of the chat services constitutes acceptance of the updated rules.
